It is my pleasure to write this letter for Lee. I had the opportunity to witness and assist Lee in the execution and refinement of the Scrum process across several development teams. I expect that he will be a very positive addition to your company.
As Product Owner Team Lead, I worked closely with Lee as the Manager of Product Owners. Lee was highly sought by our company due to his experience, and comprehensive Scrum knowledge. Most important was his ability to lead us to a full Scrum methodology.
Lee established a clear responsibility for product owners. A key component was maintaining transparent communication between the development teams and business teams. Lee solidified the product owner role and through his work established trust in the Scrum process by the business teams.
For the development teams, he focused on communication. This enabled the dev teams to focus on their work while the product owner managed the stakeholder relationship through precise communication, validating requirements.
Lee is not the type of manager to leave his team members in the dust to figure it out. He gets his elbows down with every team member to identify the issue, the overall cause, and the business value of future work. Through every responsibility of his role as manager, he stressed the overall need – to enable our customers to get the services we provide in a seamless experience.
I have every confidence in his abilities as a leader both in product ownership and product management. His ability to innovate solutions within scope while protecting the customer’s needs has been integral to the successes within our office.
